Inspiration?

Elaine Ng- Naturology

When researching I was more looking at how designers translate their gathered imagery into fashion designs as this is something I'm not very confident with as I've never created my own fashion outcome for textiles.

Elaine Ng - Naturology- innovating the future

I have recently come across the textiles designer Elaine Ng who often mixes materials together for different outcomes, most of her work is influenced by nature and she is very environmentally friendly. I really enjoy working in 3D or relief- really experimenting with textures and transforming flat surfaces & really making them more interesting which is what Elaine does successfully every time. Her combination of materials such as wood and woven fabric is also an interest of mine as I love working into samples with different materials- this is something that I have not yet tried out since I've started my BA and is something that I hope to do within this project.
