In the first week of the print block we learnt what CAD was all about and all of the things that you can do with CAD design. Day 1, we started with Photoshop basics to help us get to grips with the programme. Kenny also showed us how we can create our own pattern using shapes and convert that into a paint tool & scatter it around the page, also how to choose colours and randomise colours. after this we played around with an image of a flower learning how to repete the pattern and half drop it on the page. For the remainder of the week we used our scanned in drawings to create repeat patterns- 6 final CAD designs as part of the Print block. as my collection is of worldly instruments i have tried to create ethnic looking designs that could be used as wall hangings or for interior. Below are my final 6 design and the repeats of them.
