The Parkland Walk & The Northern Heights

This weekend I took a walk with some friends through Alexandra Palace & park and ended up going down the beginning of the Parkland Walk nature reserve. which we found really peaceful and relaxing, when I got home I re-read the project brief and it felt like it had been written purposefully for it.
I know I said I didn't want to do the same old nature side that I always end up using in my previous projects but the Parkland Walk is more of Urban/ Nature- an Urban landscape that nature is taking over.

The Parkland Walk is the remnants of the old British railway line the Northern heights- a line that runs through most of Haringey & was created purely as a way for people to visit Alexandra Palace, it was built in 1875. the line travelled from Finsbury Park-- Stroud Green-- Crouch End--Highgate--Cranley Gardens--Muswell Hill-- Alexandra Palace

The nature reserve is a extremely long pathway that travels approx 4 miles and takes 2 hours to walk. it used to be fully attached but now splits from Cranley gardens to Highgate where a road has been built.
