I came across this book in my local library that looks at different types of gardens and plants, and different layouts plans to choose from. I talks in detail between each layout about which plants would grow best with different types of soil and in different areas, for example, if you have a garden with a highly acidic soil then only certain types of plants will grow, or if you have a shaded garden then many plants will struggle to grow or grow very weak.
The main reason for my choosing this book was to look at the variety of plants that are able to grow in England and see if any of them were particularly interesting in shape, colour or textures. but it seemed this book was full of mainly 'pretty' flowers which is not what I am planning to focus on.
